




About Ken Stover
Ken Stover was born in Las Vegas in 1967. He moved to Reno in 1985 to attend the University of Nevada, Reno. Ken received his Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Management with an emphasis in Economics in 1991. Ken’s passion for fairness and justice led him to the University of Oregon School of Law where he graduated in 1995 with a Juris Doctor with emphases in criminal and environmental law.
Ken returned to Reno in 1995 and became a prosecutor in Lander County in 1996 and in Lyon County in 1997. As a Deputy District Attorney for Lyon County from 1997 to 2000, Ken prosecuted hundreds of felony and misdemeanor cases. He was also responsible for juvenile adjudications and child support enforcement.
Ken moved to defense work in the summer of 2000. Employed by the high-profile/ high-volume Law Offices of Larry K. Dunn until 2003, Ken appeared in over 50 different courts throughout Northern Nevada.
Ken has maintained his own law practice since 2003. In his fifteen years of experience, Ken has represented the State and the defense in over 2000 cases. Recognized for his knowledge of DUI laws, Ken was invited to teach DUI classes for the State Bar of Nevada in 2008. Ken has also been a special prosecutor for the City of Reno and a lecturer for the Northern Nevada Police Academy.
Most importantly, Ken married his college sweetheart, Peggy in 1993 and they have two children, Keegan and Lindsay. While Ken takes great pride in his work, he thinks being a father and a husband is his greatest accomplishment.
